These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TrustMe-Ed educational platform, website, content, subscription services, videos, case studies, AI-assisted animations, research summaries, quizzes, and related services (together, the “Service”).

The Service is operated by TRUSTME - ED A/S, organisation number 917 294 658, a Norwegian limited liability company with registered business address at Villvinveien 18C, 3406 Tranby, Norway (“TrustMe-Ed”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By creating an account, starting a free trial, purchasing a subscription, accessing content, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

 

1. The TrustMe-Ed Service

TrustMe-Ed provides online professional education for healthcare professionals. The Service may include educational lectures, case studies, research summaries, quizzes, AI-assisted animated videos, expert commentary, downloadable resources, and other professional learning materials.

The Service is intended for healthcare professionals and students in healthcare-related fields. It is not intended for patients, the general public, or as a substitute for individual medical care.

TrustMe-Ed content is provided for educational and professional development purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, clinical supervision, or a recommendation for any specific patient.

2. Professional Use Only

By using the Service, you confirm that you are a healthcare professional, healthcare student, educator, researcher, or other professional user with a legitimate interest in professional healthcare education.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful professional, educational, and non-commercial purposes, unless a separate written agreement with TrustMe-Ed allows broader use.

You are responsible for applying your own clinical judgement, professional standards, local laws, ethical duties, and relevant clinical guidelines when using knowledge obtained through the Service.

3. Account Registration

To access the Service, you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share your username, password, or account access with any other person.

You agree to update your account information if it changes, including your email address and payment information.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe that your account has been misused, shared, used fraudulently, used in breach of these Terms, or used in a way that may harm TrustMe-Ed, our users, our lecturers, our partners, or the integrity of the Service.

4. Subscription Plans

TrustMe-Ed may offer different subscription plans, including:

• monthly individual subscriptions;
• annual individual subscriptions;
• team, clinic, institutional, university, or enterprise subscriptions;
• promotional plans;
• discounted plans;
• other plans offered from time to time.

The specific price, billing period, features, and limitations of your subscription will be shown during sign-up or in your account settings.

Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

5. Seven-Day Free Trial

TrustMe-Ed may offer a free trial period for new members. Unless otherwise stated during sign-up, the free trial period lasts for seven (7) days.

The free trial is available only once per person and only for first-time members. The free trial applies to monthly and annual individual subscriptions only.

Team, clinic, institutional, university, enterprise, or other custom subscriptions are not eligible for a free trial unless expressly agreed in writing by TrustMe-Ed.

During the free trial, you will have access to the Service. Your payment method will not be charged until the end of the free trial period.

If you do not cancel before the free trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert into a paid subscription, and you authorise us or our payment provider to charge your payment method for the subscription plan selected during sign-up.

You may cancel your subscription at any time during the free trial through your account settings. If you cancel before the free trial ends, you will not be charged.

TrustMe-Ed reserves the right to limit, revoke, or refuse free trial access if we reasonably believe that the free trial is being misused, including attempts to create multiple trial accounts using different email addresses, payment methods, devices, organisations, or other identifiers.

6. Billing and Payment

You must provide a valid payment method to start a paid subscription or a free trial that automatically converts into a paid subscription.

By providing a payment method, you authorise TrustMe-Ed and/or our payment provider to charge the applicable subscription fees, taxes, and any other charges related to your selected plan.

Subscription fees are charged in advance for the selected billing period.

For monthly subscriptions, the subscription fee will be charged monthly unless cancelled before the next billing date.

For annual subscriptions, the subscription fee will be charged annually unless cancelled before the renewal date.

If a payment fails, we may attempt to charge the payment method again. If payment is not successfully completed, we may suspend or restrict your access to the Service until payment has been received.

You are responsible for any fees charged by your bank, card issuer, or payment provider, including currency conversion fees, foreign transaction fees, or similar charges.

Prices may include or exclude VAT or other taxes depending on your location, subscription type, and applicable law. Any applicable taxes will normally be shown during checkout or on your invoice.

7. Annual Renewal Notice

Annual subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

For annual individual subscriptions, TrustMe-Ed will send an email reminder before your subscription renews, giving you reasonable time to cancel if you do not wish to continue your membership.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the email address connected to your account is correct and that you read account-related emails from TrustMe-Ed.

Failure to read a renewal notice does not by itself cancel your subscription.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel your individual subscription at any time through your account settings or by following the cancellation instructions provided on the Service.

If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to the Service until the end of your current paid billing period.

Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the remaining part of a paid billing period, except where required by applicable law or expressly stated in these Terms.

If you cancel during the seven-day free trial, you will not be charged.

If you cancel after the free trial has ended and your subscription has converted into a paid subscription, your access will continue until the end of the paid billing period.

9. Refunds

Except where required by applicable law, subscription fees are non-refundable.

We do not provide refunds or credits for:

• partial subscription periods;
• unused access;
• unwatched lectures or content;
• failure to log in;
• failure to cancel before renewal;
• changes in your personal circumstances;
• loss of access caused by your own device, internet connection, email settings, spam filters, or payment failure.

TrustMe-Ed may, at its sole discretion, provide a refund, credit, extension, or other remedy in exceptional circumstances, including duplicate payments, technical errors, prolonged platform access problems caused by TrustMe-Ed, or other cases we consider reasonable.

Any discretionary refund, credit, or remedy does not create a right to future refunds.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory statutory rights you may have under applicable law.

10. Team, Clinic, Institutional and University Subscriptions

TrustMe-Ed may offer team, clinic, institutional, university, or enterprise subscriptions.

These subscriptions may be subject to separate written terms, order forms, invoices, or agreements. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a separate written agreement signed or approved by TrustMe-Ed, the separate written agreement will apply to the extent of the conflict.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

• team subscriptions do not include a seven-day free trial;
• access is limited to named users or the agreed number of users;
• login details must not be shared;
• the organisation is responsible for managing its users;
• the organisation is responsible for ensuring that only authorised users access the Service;
• fees are non-refundable after the subscription period has started, except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed in writing.

A team, clinic, university, or institutional subscription may allow internal educational use within the subscribing organisation. However, it does not allow resale, public broadcasting, external teaching, copying, downloading, redistribution, or use of TrustMe-Ed content in separate paid courses, commercial teaching products, or competing services unless expressly agreed in writing.

11. Licence to Use the Service

During your active subscription, TrustMe-Ed grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and view the Service and TrustMe-Ed content for your own professional education.

This licence is for access only. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

You may not use the Service or content for any purpose not expressly permitted by these Terms.

12. Restrictions on Use

You agree not to:

• share your account with another person;
• sell, rent, sublicense, transfer, or give access to your account;
• copy, reproduce, download, record, distribute, publish, display, or modify TrustMe-Ed content unless expressly permitted;
• use TrustMe-Ed content in your own paid courses, lectures, educational products, apps, platforms, or commercial services without written permission;
• use the Service for public performance or public display without written permission;
• remove copyright notices, watermarks, trademarks, or other rights notices;
• bypass, disable, or interfere with access controls, security systems, payment systems, or content protection technologies;
• use bots, scrapers, crawlers, data mining tools, automated systems, or similar tools to access, copy, index, or extract content;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from any part of the Service;
• upload or transmit viruses, malware, harmful code, or other material that may damage the Service;
• use the Service in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, abusive, or harmful;
• attempt to re-identify patients or individuals in anonymised case studies.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we reasonably believe that these restrictions have been breached.

13. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the Service and TrustMe-Ed content belong to TrustMe-Ed, our lecturers, licensors, partners, or other rights holders.

This includes, without limitation:

• videos;
• lectures;
• case studies;
• AI-assisted animations;
• research summaries;
• quizzes;
• text;
• graphics;
• images;
• logos;
• designs;
• software;
• platform structure;
• course materials;
• certificates;
• trademarks;
• trade names;
• and other educational materials.

Nothing in these Terms gives you ownership of TrustMe-Ed content or intellectual property.

You may not use the TrustMe-Ed name, logo, branding, lecturer content, or course materials without prior written permission, except where necessary to identify TrustMe-Ed as the provider of your subscription or certificate.

14. Case Studies

TrustMe-Ed may provide case studies as part of the Service.

Case studies are based on real clinical situations but are anonymised before publication. They are provided for educational purposes only.

Although case studies may be based on real patients, they are not intended to identify any patient or individual.

You agree not to attempt to identify, contact, investigate, or re-identify any patient or person who may be connected to a case study.

Case studies do not constitute medical advice for any specific patient and must not be applied without independent clinical assessment, professional judgement, and consideration of local laws, standards, and guidelines.

15. AI-Assisted Animated Content

TrustMe-Ed may use artificial intelligence tools to assist in the creation of animated educational videos, visual explanations, illustrations, or other learning materials.

AI tools are used to support the presentation, animation, or visual communication of educational content. TrustMe-Ed does not rely on AI as a substitute for professional clinical judgement or editorial responsibility.

Where AI-assisted content is used, the underlying educational message, research interpretation, or professional content is intended to be reviewed for accuracy before publication.

AI-assisted animations are provided to improve understanding and engagement. They may simplify complex research, mechanisms, or clinical concepts and should not be treated as complete or exhaustive scientific reviews.

TrustMe-Ed may label or describe content as AI-assisted where appropriate.

You remain responsible for critically evaluating all educational content and applying your own professional judgement.

16. Educational and Medical Disclaimer

The Service is provided for professional education only.

TrustMe-Ed does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation plans, patient-specific recommendations, clinical supervision, or emergency medical guidance.

The Service does not create a clinician-patient relationship, supervisor-student relationship, or other professional duty of care between TrustMe-Ed and any patient, user, or third party.

You must not rely on TrustMe-Ed content as the sole basis for clinical decisions.

You are responsible for:

• assessing each patient individually;
• using your own professional judgement;
• following applicable laws and ethical rules;
• following local clinical guidelines and professional standards;
• considering contraindications, precautions, patient preferences, and clinical context;
• seeking additional expertise where required.

Research, clinical guidelines, professional standards, and best practice may change over time. TrustMe-Ed aims to provide high-quality educational content, but we do not guarantee that all content is complete, current, error-free, or applicable to every clinical situation.

External lecturers and experts are responsible for their own educational contributions. Views expressed by lecturers may not always represent the views of TrustMe-Ed.

17. Research Summaries and Scientific Content

TrustMe-Ed may provide research summaries, evidence highlights, expert interpretations, animations, or simplified explanations of scientific literature.

These materials are intended to support learning and professional reflection. They are not exhaustive systematic reviews unless expressly stated.

You are responsible for checking original sources, current guidelines, and the wider body of evidence before making clinical or professional decisions.

TrustMe-Ed may update, replace, correct, remove, or archive scientific content at any time.

18. Certificates, CPD and Continuing Education

TrustMe-Ed may provide certificates of completion, course records, or other documentation for selected content.

A certificate confirms only that the relevant TrustMe-Ed activity was completed according to the platform’s requirements.

TrustMe-Ed does not guarantee that any course, lecture, certificate, or activity will be accepted for CPD, CEU, professional accreditation, licensing, insurance, or regulatory purposes in your country, profession, or organisation unless this is expressly stated in writing.

You are responsible for checking whether TrustMe-Ed content is accepted by your professional body, employer, regulator, insurer, or educational institution.

We may refuse, revoke, or correct certificates if we reasonably believe that access was shared, completion was fraudulent, platform data is incorrect, or the certificate was issued in error.

19. User Content, Comments and Submissions

At present, TrustMe-Ed does not allow users to upload patient cases or patient-identifiable information to the Service.

If the Service later allows comments, questions, forum posts, uploaded content, or other submissions, you must not upload, post, send, or share any patient-identifiable information or confidential patient data unless TrustMe-Ed has expressly provided a lawful and secure process for doing so.

You are solely responsible for any information you submit to the Service.

We may remove user-submitted content if we believe it is unlawful, inappropriate, misleading, confidential, patient-identifiable, infringing, abusive, or otherwise in breach of these Terms.

20. Privacy and Data Protection

TrustMe-Ed processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which should be read together with these Terms.

We may process personal data such as your name, email address, billing details, country, profession, subscription status, course activity, viewing activity, quiz activity, certificate data, technical data, and communication preferences.

We may use third-party service providers for payment processing, video hosting, analytics, email communication, customer support, hosting, and platform operation.

You must not submit patient-identifiable information to TrustMe-Ed unless we have expressly agreed to this in writing and provided a lawful and secure process for such data.

21. Cookies and Analytics

TrustMe-Ed may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, and similar technologies to operate the Service, improve user experience, analyse usage, provide support, and communicate with users.

Where required by law, we will request consent for non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

22. Email Communications and Newsletter

By creating an account or subscribing to the Service, you agree that TrustMe-Ed may send you service-related emails concerning your account, payment, subscription, renewal, password, access, security, platform updates, changes to these Terms, and other necessary administrative matters.

Members may also receive a monthly TrustMe-Ed newsletter containing educational updates, new lectures, case studies, research highlights, platform news, and relevant information about TrustMe-Ed services.

You can unsubscribe from marketing or newsletter emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in such emails.

Service-related account emails may still be sent where necessary for the administration, security, or operation of your membership.

23. Changes to the Service and Content

TrustMe-Ed may update, improve, modify, replace, remove, or discontinue parts of the Service or content at any time.

This may include adding or removing lectures, case studies, animations, quizzes, research summaries, features, lecturers, categories, or platform functions.

We do not guarantee that any specific content will remain available permanently.

Where changes materially affect a paid subscription, we will try to provide reasonable notice where practical.

24. Availability and Technical Requirements

We aim to provide a reliable and high-quality Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuous availability.

Access may be affected by maintenance, updates, technical problems, third-party service providers, internet connection, device compatibility, payment failure, security issues, or events outside our control.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have a suitable device, internet connection, browser, software, and email access to use the Service.

We may carry out maintenance, updates, or security work that temporarily limits access to the Service.

25. Third-Party Services

The Service may depend on third-party providers, including providers of payment processing, video hosting, email delivery, analytics, customer support, hosting, AI tools, and other technical services.

TrustMe-Ed is not responsible for the acts, omissions, failures, downtime, policies, or terms of third-party providers, except where required by applicable law.

The Service may also include links to third-party websites, research articles, journals, platforms, or resources. These are provided for convenience and education only. TrustMe-Ed does not control and is not responsible for third-party content.

26. Security and Misuse

You must not misuse the Service or attempt to harm TrustMe-Ed, other users, lecturers, partners, or third-party providers.

We may monitor usage patterns to detect account sharing, unauthorised access, scraping, fraud, payment abuse, trial abuse, or security threats.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we reasonably believe that your account or organisation is involved in misuse, unlawful activity, security risks, or breach of these Terms.

27. Termination by TrustMe-Ed

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

• you breach these Terms;
• payment is not received;
• you share your account;
• you misuse a free trial or promotional offer;
• you copy, record, distribute, or misuse content;
• you use the Service unlawfully or fraudulently;
• we are required to do so by law;
• your use creates a security, legal, technical, reputational, or commercial risk to TrustMe-Ed.

If we terminate your account because of a serious breach of these Terms, you may not be entitled to a refund, except where required by applicable law.

28. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TrustMe-Ed is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or economic losses, including loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or professional liability arising from your use of the Service.

TrustMe-Ed is not responsible for clinical decisions, patient outcomes, professional conduct, or treatment decisions made by users of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

29. Indemnity

If you use the Service in breach of these Terms, misuse TrustMe-Ed content, share access unlawfully, infringe intellectual property rights, upload unlawful material, or use the Service in a way that causes claims against TrustMe-Ed, you agree to indemnify and hold TrustMe-Ed harmless from losses, claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from that breach, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

30. Changes to These Terms

TrustMe-Ed may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will provide notice by email, through the Service, or by other reasonable means.

Unless a shorter period is required for legal, security, or operational reasons, material changes will normally take effect no earlier than thirty (30) days after notice has been provided.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms means that you accept the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must cancel your subscription and stop using the Service.

31. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by the competent courts of Norway, unless mandatory applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory statutory rights you may have under applicable law.

33. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any applicable Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, subscription terms, order form, or written agreement with TrustMe-Ed, form the agreement between you and TrustMe-Ed regarding your use of the Service.

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.

TrustMe-Ed is an educational platform for healthcare professionals. The content is not patient-specific medical advice and must not replace independent clinical assessment, professional judgement, local guidelines, or applicable professional standards.

AI-Assisted Content Notice

Some TrustMe-Ed videos, illustrations, animations, or explanations may be created with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools. AI is used to support visual communication and educational presentation. The professional and educational content is intended to be reviewed for accuracy before publication.

Case Study Notice
